Niagra Falls was fabulous, I'd better not type my first words when I saw them, Tom (guy from the hostel who was on same trip) said 'that sure wasnt a typical English response!!!! Wine tasting was the first task of the afternoon, $5 for three glasses, a white, a red and their famous Ice Wine. Ice Wine is so sweet but nice, costs about $25 small bottle (thought the girls would love this, I could take one back but decided Ive got 11mths still to go and before then I might be in need of alcohol along the way so would be tempted to drink it, also I didnt want to make my luggage any heavier!!!!) There was an english double decker at the wine tasting strange to see in middle of Canada!!! Next we travelled up to the start of Niagra to the rapids where a cable car went across, weather was snowing badly and we couldnt see anything from this vantage point then all of sudden it cleared and when you saw the cable car I just thought no way man!!!! Then onto the main horseshoe falls and american falls and the rainbow bridge. Still snowing but not as heavy, wind was bitter but on seeing the falls didnt really think about the cold!!! Real shame but theyve now built opposite some commercial attractions, fair and casino but sure some of the tourists appreciate them. Didnt take the Skytower view as it was overcast and misty but did take the journey under the falls, it felt like you were in the London underground the noise of the water just sound like the trains!!! We werent heading back till 8.45pm cos at 8.30pm they light up the falls, but to be honest it was really cold and not worth the wait, the natural sight for me was the best.
